Night as a Catalyst has had excellent reception from those who have read it. I was proud of it when I released it, but I wasn't prepared for the praise I've received since its release last month. Sincerely, thank you to those who have supported me by purchasing a copy and for your kind words--whether it be to my face or in the form of a review for Amazon or Goodreads. It's all extremely helpful and encouraging.
Speaking of anthologies...!
*A new story I wrote entitled "Trash Baby Godfather" will be in the Straight to Video: The Sequel anthology edited by Kent Hill. The anthology's theme is that of a cheesy, low-budget, VHS 80s B-movie style. It was a great time writing a story for this one. The anthology is packed with some great people in the field, including Anthony C. Ferrante (director of Sharknado), Terry M. West, Jim Wynorski (director of Chopping Mall, Deathstalker II, Lost Empire, and about 100 more) and several others. The cover was created by the incredibly talented Brian LeBlanc. You can get the first in what will be a trilogy of the books, right here:

*My story "Collecting Cats" will be reprinted in Shadows & Light #5 due out toward the end of summer. Shadows & Light always brings a variety of genres.
*One up a Tree will be reprinted in an anthology due out some time in 2016. I know the name of the anthology and I've seen the cover art, but the publisher is waiting to get a few contracts back before an official announcement and cover reveal is made. I'm pretty excited about sharing the table of contents with more great authors.
*I was invited to participate in my own inclusion into the Car Nex world created by horror author Terry M. West. I wrote the story, submitted it, and it will be out in September along with stories by Stuart Keane and Tim Meyer involving the Car Nex--a demon summoned to earth.
More Magazine pages...!
*Don't forget! I'll be in the next issue of Famous Monster of Filmland (issue #281) talkin' 'bout love!...tainted love! If you missed it, I was in the last issue (#280) of FM talkin' 'bout the modern-day fascination with all things apocalyptic.
*An article I wrote will also be in the August issue of Rue Morgue. This is my first time in this magazine and hopefully one of many. They were a real pleasure to work with.
Other than a few other things I can't talk about yet, that's it. I'm caught up on my deadlines, have to finish a proofing job, and need to get deeper into this book series I started. Hold me accountable to that project, people! It's going to be a good one!
